AkitaInu

Introduction of No Tabi Kennel

We are Akita Inu breeders from Hungary.
We had our first female akita puppy at the spring of 1995. We would have like to get a nice and beautiful pet only. However, our first akita was followed by other two female puppies in a half of year. We have three children and they love animals, so they had to get an own akita all of them. We got a lot of experience on dog exhibitions. We had lots of new friends. We got to know a new world; the world of dog shows and dog breeders.

When our akitas lived to age of two years old, and they had have required qualification of breeding, we found a quality stud dog to them. When the babies was born, we were so happy. After two or three months the new owners were happy because of the new members of their family.

Akitas from our breeding helped us to have prize of „Breeder of the Year ’98” in our Club and the title of „Master Breeder” in MEOE, Hungarian Kennel Club.

Once, we got an issue of German Akita Club’s clubinfo. We got in touch with Ms. Angelika Kammerscheid-Lammers, who lead Akita Club e. V. with her husband, Mr. Lutz Lammers. Ms. Lammers helped us lot. She sent their clubinfo in every three month. We could get to know European leader akita breeders and owners, the most successful show akitas and stud dogs. We got to know French, German, Dutch and Czech breeders, who helped us to get to know and understand the actual akita situation.

At that time finished the separating of Akita and Great Japanese Dog breeds and it even could not begin in Hungary.
After much debate between Japan Kennel Club and American Kennel Club, was born a decision about the draw a distinction between Great Japanese Dog and Akita Inu - after World Akita Congress and FCI General Assembly in Mexico City on july 1st. 1999.
There is a new breed, as Great Japanese Dog registered FCI Standard No. 344 to FCI Grouph II, Section 4. As from january 1st., 2000, the breed Akita and the Great Japanese Dog are considered two independent breeds, any cross between these two breeds are prohibited.

There are several „Akitas” which hasn’t pure Japanese ancients, but they has a title of Inter Champion or Hungarian Champion. These dogs are not Akita Inus or „pure bred” Great Japanese Akitas. Hungarian breeders know, that combined „akitas” are already not akitas nowadays, but the time was too short to execution in Hungary.

We hope, there will not be ex-akitas, which are not pets any more and their owners take them to a house of a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or throw them away from the car on a distant region.

And now, let’s go back to the introduction of our breeding. The end of 1998 we brought a male puppy from Czech Republic with the aim of bring a new line to Hungary. The name of dog is Enshi Tozama. His parents are Zuiho of Nichinansow and Aurora’s Sky Flower. We went to visit an other Czech akita breeding and we brought a female puppy next year. The name of the bitch is Chibi z Bambusoveho Haje. Her father is Ryusho Go No Hanamaki Azumasow, her mother’s name is J’Shinji D’Obakosow.

We hope, we can develop a new line breeding without hereditary, inborn diseases. Hungarian people, who want to have akita puppy in the future will get to know Akita Inu as a breed which can be companion dog, a mate at all times and situation.
Akita Inu is a symbol of good health and good luck.
